20th Century Design ( Task 2)

Dadaism

  • an art movement of the European
  • starts at Zurich, Switzerland in 1916
  • born out of negative reaction of the World War 1 
  • concentrates on anti-war politics
  • rejected reason and logic, prizing nonsense, irrationality and intuition
  • came out in many form (visual art, literature, poetry, art theory, theater, graphic design)

Task

We are ask to pick 6 things and put it in the box. We need to exchange the box with other person. After that we are divided into a group which each group have two member and my partner is Satish. So each group will have 12 thing. Then we must pick one topic as the issue for this project and our topic is cutting down trees. We must express about our topic by using those 12 things.


My Understanding and Reflect Toward Dadaism

  1. Dadaism is more of an emotional abstract art which show and share their feelings of what is in their mind.
  2. The idea comes from the event or phenomena that is happening around you.
  3. Dadaism effect a lot of people.
  4. Different people has their own personal concept.
  5. Art can be form from anything ( size, shape, type, concept, material)

Design Studio - Conceptualization ( Task 1: Power Tools)

Preparation requirements students to organize access to the following resources:

Digital Resource
Computer - make it easier for student to do their works and project.
Internet - gain information and for reference
Software - gain experience and save time. Using software make it easier for students and quicker such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Printing - for reference, presentation and completing workbook-folio
Digital camera - evidence to support student presentation.

Analogue Resource
Personal workplace - a place specialize for the students to do their work with the complete equipment to help them.
Material - tools, object that can help the students completing their work.
graphic toolbox - a place for the students to keep their tool so that it will be easier for students to search for their tools.

Documentation
Presentation - to show that the students really understand what their doing.
Storage - a place for students to keep their work, project, reference.
Collation system - easier for student to look for information depending on alphabetic order.
Workbook - present what they have been doing, what have they been researching.



Learning outcome
  • Know the preparation required for student to organize their work and workplace.
  • Know to purpose/ function of the things on their workplace properly
